I’m nervous about buying beauty online. Can I try the products before I buy?
Volition has solved your problem of buying cosmetics online with our exclusive Proof Testers Program: http://volitionbeauty.com/pages/proof_tester. With every order, we include a generous sample of the product you purchased. This allows you to experience the texture, feel and, if applicable, the fragrance and/or color as well as try it with the other products in your regimen. If you like it (we know you will!), keep the full size. If you don’t like it, for whatever reason, don’t break the seal on the full size product. Ship it back to us and we will give you a full refund. Volition has the most liberal return policy in the industry. It’s unprecedented. Other beauty sites or sites selling cosmetic products will not allow you to return any products. Not only are we so confident of our quality and efficacy, but we made trying it out at in the privacy of your home easy, simple and convenient. What is the Volition return policy?
Your satisfaction is important to us. We have developed a special testing program with our Proof Testers. You will receive your order with a sample tester of the exact product you have bought. Try that sample and see if you want to keep the full size. If you like the product then break the seal and use/keep the full size. If you are not satisfied then return the unopened and unused product within 30 days for a product refund. Please email customer service to process the return at service@volitionbeauty.com. Instructions and a printable ship return label will be provided. Once the product is received back at our warehouse, your credit will be processed. Returns are processed within 5 business days of receipt. Credit card refunds can take up to 30 days depending on your bank’s policies. If a free gift is applied, it must be returned unused with any purchased items to receive a full refund. All kits are excluded from additional promo codes, free gifts and discounts.
How can I receive samples?
When you shop with us online, we provide free samples with orders when available. We do not mail out samples by request.
How do I share my great Volition experience or favorite products?
You are vital to the creation of Volition. We are happy to hear you have enjoyed your Volition experience. Please share your feedback. Help build the Volition Collective! Do you ship internationally?
Yes, we ship to the US and Canada. Please note the following regarding Canadian shipments:

 Volition Beauty does not currently take duties or taxes on non-US destination orders upon purchase and you will be subject to pay your local governing body upon arrival of your parcel. 

Canadian clients are responsible for paying full taxes and tariffs upon arrival of their package. This amount varies by territory and may be as high as 18%. Please check with your governing authority for more information.

 International orders over $75 qualify for free shipping.

How much do you charge for shipping and handling?
We are currently offering free standard shipping on all purchases and returns. Expedited shipping services are available for a fee: 1-2 business days - $10 and overnight - $25.
How long does it take to receive my order?
Processing time typically takes 1 business day. For example, with standard shipping, orders will be delivered within 4-6 business days from when the order is placed. For expedited shipping, please allow 2-3 business days from when the order is placed. Overnight shipping will deliver the following business day for all orders placed before 11 am ET.
Do you charge sales tax on my purchases?
We charge sales tax for products shipped to California and Michigan.

Are Volition products gluten free?
Although we try to avoid gluten and gluten derivatives in our products, there may be a few products that include them for performance. Unless otherwise specified in the Product or Campaign description, we cannot guarantee that the raw materials used may not have come into contact accidentally with gluten during their manufacturing process at our suppliers.
Are Volition products hypo-allergenic and non-comedogenic?
Volition products are formulated to be hypo-allergenic or non-comedogenic. Due to the nature of individual skin, we cannot claim or guarantee performance. If you have a specific concern, please email service@volitionbeauty.com prior to purchase and we can help suggest a product that is suitable for your skin. Please also consult your dermatologist if you have any concerns on possible allergies or specific skin issues.
Are Volition products vegan?
Most of our products are vegan. If a product is vegan, it will be noted under the performance section.
What are Volition's formulation guidelines?
Our brand promise is quality without harmful chemicals. Although we value high-performance and results-driven products, we will never formulate with Sulfates, Pthalates, Parabens, Nitrates, Coal Tar, Formaldehyde, Formaldehyde Releasing Agents, Oxybenzone, Ethanolamines (DEA/TEA/MEA/ETA), Retinol Palmitate, Synthetic Fragrances, Aluminum, Aluminum Chlorohydrate (Aluminum Salts), Talc, Hydroquinone, Triclosan, Triclocarban, BHA and BHT. All of our manufacturing partners and their facilities have been vetted for quality controls of the highest standards. Our teams’ decades of experience in the beauty business allows us to only pick the very best partners, who are the benchmark for quality within the industry. We ensure that we keep current on all ingredient and regulatory issues.
Can I use promotion codes for any product?
Promotion codes cannot be used on already discounted items. You can see if an item is already discounted by checking if the original price is crossed out and a lower price is shown.
Does Volition test on animals?
We do not test on animals and are PETA Pink Bunny Certified Cruelty Free. We are strongly opposed to animal testing and support pushing alternative testing methods forward. We hope they will be adopted by all regulatory agencies and we will all see an end to animal testing.
What should I do if I've forgotten my account password?

What credit cards are accepted on your site?
We accept American Express, MasterCard, and Visa cards. We also accept Paypal.

What types of ideas can I submit?
It doesn’t matter if it’s an exotic ingredient you’ve discovered in your travels, a crazy chemical formula or a beauty product that you wish was on the market but isn’t. Volition wants to create the best, most innovative, most cutting-edge beauty products. Help us figure out what those should be.
How does my idea get chosen to be developed?
Once you submit your idea, our staff reviews it for feasibility, brand fit and market potential. If your idea is chosen for development, Volition works with you to develop the concept, the product profile, the Campaign and, eventually, the Prototype. Our network of product developers - chemists, R&D teams, labs - are all highly respected in the cosmetics industry and have significant experience formulating products that are probably sitting on your vanity right now. After your product is posted as a Campaign, our community weighs in. If your Campaign gets enough support, we make it and you share in the success. Even if your idea doesn’t have a successful Campaign the first time around, you will still receive valuable feedback from the Volition community and Partners. Use it to refine your idea or to submit an entirely new one!
Will someone steal my idea?
We’re making beauty more democratic and accessible by allowing beauty junkies and regular people bring their ideas to store shelves. Can we guarantee that someone reading your idea in one of our Campaigns won’t steal it and try to make something similar? Well, no. But by the time we bring your idea to Campaign, we are probably at prototype, which is leaps and bounds beyond anyone else. In addition, beauty brands typically need 3-6 months to get a product to market. Because of our vast network of development and manufacturing partners, we’ve cut that time down to 3-6 weeks. No one can beat our time to market and, therefore, the innovation and newness of our products.
What are the rules for voting for a campaign?
The following points outline the rules and regulations of the Volition Beauty voting platform. Innovators who violate these rule are subject to consequences including but not limited to their campaign being terminated. Individuals who violate these rules may be suspended or banned from voting on Volition Beauty’s platform. All votes must be voluntary and uncompensated. Votes may not be cast by any automated method. Entrants may vote for their own entries but may not compensate anyone in exchange for votes, or otherwise obtain votes through fraud, coercion, or other unfair means. Each individual is limited to one vote. Any votes submitted by the same individual will be automatically detected and flagged. Volition Beauty reserves the right to exclude any votes that have been obtained in violation of these Rules and the eligibility of any vote is at the sole discretion of Volition Beauty. Volition Beauty’s decision in relation to all matters affecting the final voting decision is final.
