Within the past couple years, the word “clean” has emerged into the skincare realm and all over Instagram feeds. But what does it mean? Is Volition Beauty clean? Is Volition Beauty cruelty-free? The short answer is yes for the last two but let's unfold what clean means to Volition.
As our brand and community grew, we began receiving feedback that we should tighten up our ingredient lists. After various team-meetings and discussions, we agreed that since we’re an outside-in brand, we wanted to oblige with our community. We think you deserve to know exactly what is in your products and why.
Our main priority is a commitment to clean beauty with complete transparency to our community. We made our own promise of Safe Science; using the most efficacious ingredients in a the most efficacious way. We vet the best industry experts that help sift through ingredients to determine what is potentially toxic and what is safe. Our community weighs in with their own knowledge that we always take seriously. Volition skincare is upfront, clean, certified cruelty-free, gluten-free, and vegan, always.
We also look to the Environmental Working Group (EWG), the unbiased resource on all things clean, to guide our formulation guidelines. The EWG scores ingredients from 1-10, lowest to highest toxicity ratings, and we ensure all ingredients used are below a 4. It's basically as clean as it gets.
